ATTN: All juniors who signed up to take the PSAT/NMSQT on October 22. Please remember to complete your Student Readiness Check before October 19. Directions and login credentials were delivered to your English class earlier this week. Need additional help? Please read your PSAT/NMSQT Next Steps email sent on September 24.

ATTN: All 10th and 11th grade students are invited to take a proficiency test during Wednesday, October 14 - Friday, October 16 or Wednesday, October 21 at 7:00 am (ideal for students with a 1st hour) or at 7:45 am on the track at Kelsey Filed. These are the only dates and times the test will be offered. Students must pass the test to be exempt from PE for 2027-2028. Please sign up for the test by Tuesday, October 13 using a link found in your school email titled 2027-2028 Physical Education Proficiency Test sent on September 2, 2026.  Students are to meet in the Student Commons on the day of their test.

Don't delay! Buy your Homecoming ticket today! In-person ticket sales end Friday. Buy yours in the PAC lobby before school or in the Main AP during lunch hours every day this week. Guest tickets must be purchased in person.   

Tomorrow is class color day! Freshmen wear orange, sophomores wear green, juniors wear blue, seniors wear pink, and staff wear black.

Powder puff t-shirts are in.  If you purchased a shirt, please pick it up in room 2114 before Thursday. 

Here’s another fun fact about the original 1946 film It’s a Wonderful Life:

• It’s a Wonderful Life is based on a short story by Phillip Van Doren Stern called “The Greatest Gift.” The short story, like the film, was not a hit and was turned down by many publishers. After being rejected several times, Stern self-published the story in 1943 as a Christmas novelty for around 200 friends and family.

Performances of this year’s fall play It’s a Wonderful Life will be November 6th & 7th @ 7pm and November 8th @ 2pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 9th.

 Club Announcements:

Attention all artists! Come to Art Club Thursday, October 1, at 8:15 in art room 1439!   Bring a friend!

The Renaissance Club invites you to join us for the annual Homecoming Powder Puff games on Thursday, October 1st.  The evening will kick off with the freshman/sophomore powder puff game at 5:45 followed by the Student Council Assembly at 6:30 and finally the junior/senior powder puff game at 7:00.  After completion of the games, Student Council is sponsoring a bonfire.  Everyone is welcome. Doors open at 5:30 pm and there is a $1 charge for entry to the event.

Expectations in the lunchroom:

• There is no budging in the lunch lines. Please wait your turn and stay in line.

• Taking items without paying is considered stealing and is against our lunchroom rules. Students who are seen doing this will be subject to disciplinary consequences.

• If you are not getting food, please do not stand in the lunch line or hold a place for someone else.

Please be respectful to our lunchroom staff and to the students around you. We all share responsibility for keeping the lunchroom a positive, respectful place for everyone.

Students, please get on your bus immediately after school. Buses leave at 3:25.
