Congratulations to the girls' flag football team for clinching the NIC 10 Conference Championship last week along with Harlem. The girls are now the first back-to-back NIC 10 champions in flag football! Come cheer them on tonight at Kelsey Field as they take on Hampshire in their last home game. The game starts at 5 pm. The team will start the postseason this Wednesday at McHenry when they take on Grayslake North. Good luck ladies! 

Voting for Homecoming King and Queen ends tonight! Seniors, cast your vote by following the link sent by Mr. Lee.

Do you have what it takes to sprint, dive, jump, and roll through the wildest obstacle course Hononegah has ever seen? Will you be the last one standing by the end of our newest game, Tail Whip? If you're interested in participating in the Pep Assembly games on Friday, fill out the Google Form sent by Mr. Lee by the end of the day tomorrow. 

In-person ticket sales for the Homecoming Dance start today! Buy your ticket in the PAC lobby before school or in the Main AP during lunch hours every day this week. Guest tickets must be purchased in person. Hononegah students can always purchase online up until the day of the dance.

Support the clubs and activities of Hononegah at the Homecoming Parade on Friday at 4:15 PM. This year the parade will run on Chapel St. from Green St. to Salem St.

Tomorrow is Blue Day! Dress as your favorite blue character or in as much blue as possible.

Got something you want to show off??? Sign up for the Homecoming Talent Show taking place on Tuesday, 9/29 at 6:00 pm. Singer, dancer, instrumentalist, stand-up comic, hardcore RC car driver, Bob Ross impressionist, you name it, we want to see it!! Here’s another fun fact about the original 1946 film It’s a Wonderful Life:

• The set for the town of Bedford Falls took two months to construct and was one of the biggest movie sets ever built. It covered four acres with 75 stores and buildings, a working bank, a main street, a factory district, and a residential and slum area. Pigeons, cats, and dogs were allowed to roam the streets to give the set a “lived in” feel.

Performances of this year’s fall play It’s a Wonderful Life will be November 6th & 7th @ 7pm and November 8th @ 2pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 9th.

Hello Gamers! We will be meeting on Tuesday, 9-29-26, at 3:20 in the AP room. Please make sure to have a ride by 5 pm. As always, new members are welcome to join. 

Anime and Manga club will meet on Tuesday, September 29 in the library after school.    We will be watching anime and making candy sushi.     All students are welcome to attend.  Bring a friend!  See Mrs. Blum in the library with any questions.

The Renaissance Club invites you to join us for the annual Homecoming Powder Puff games on Thursday, October 1st.  The evening will kick off with the freshman/sophomore powder puff game at 5:45 followed by the Student Council Assembly at 6:30 and finally the junior/senior powder puff game at 7:00.  After completion of the games, Student Council is sponsoring a bonfire.  Everyone is welcome. Doors open at 5:30 pm and there is a $1 charge for entry to the event.

• There is no budging in the lunch lines. Please wait your turn and stay in line.

• Taking items without paying is considered stealing and is against our lunchroom rules. Students who are seen doing this will be subject to disciplinary consequences.

• If you are not getting food, please do not stand in the lunch line or hold a place for someone else.

Please be respectful to our lunchroom staff and to the students around you. We all share responsibility for keeping the lunchroom a positive, respectful place for everyone.

Students, please get on your bus immediately after school. Buses leave at 3:25.
