September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.  According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Suicide Prevention Month is a time to raise awareness, spread hope, and spark meaningful action around one of the most urgent mental health issues of our time.  Check in on your friends who might be struggling.  To help your friends, watch for changes in behavior, listen without judgment, and connect them to the 988 Lifeline.  Know that you are not alone and there is help for you!

Math Team will have an evening practice on Tuesday, September 15 at 5:30 PM in Room 2110.  New students are welcome to join.  Please see Ms. Regan in Room 2110 or team captains Kaelynn Bohnert, Emilee McKiski, and Jules Negron if you have any questions.

Mark your calendars for Beyond HS on Wednesday, September 16th at 6:30 PM in the PAC! This is a chance to get expert tips on applying to college and scholarships, entering skilled trade unions, and exploring military paths.

Tickets to Hononegah's Homecoming Dance, The Spirit of Pandora, are on sale now! The event will take place in the Field House on October 3rd from 7-10 PM. Scan the QR code on the posters around the school or follow the link sent by Mr. Lee to purchase. Tickets for Hononegah students are $20, and guest tickets are $30. If you're bringing a guest, you must pick up a form from the DA office and turn it in by September 25th. In-person ticket sales take place September 28th through October 2nd. Reach out to Mr. Lee with any questions.

Club Announcements:

Come to Cinematics this Friday where we are honoring 9/11 with a real life documentary. French filmmakers, Jules and Gedeon Naudet, were filming a New York Firehouse on September 11, 2001 when they unexpectedly captured the entire day's events as they unfolded in real time. This poignant depiction of the realities of that day is chilling. Please come to room 1434 this Friday to see 9/11. Food and friends will be there.

Paranormal Investigators Club will meet on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, in the Upper AP room.   Our meeting will be from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.   See Ms. Z in 2419 with any questions.

Are you interested in Hockey? Join Hockey Enthusiasts Club for its first meeting this Friday in room 1108 at 8:10 AM. Everyone is welcome.

Please reach out to Mr. Kallieris in room 1108 or Ms. Bowman in room 1436 with any questions.

Our clubs and activities are actively recruiting!  Please use this site to navigate through all of the clubs offered at Hononegah High School. The list of activities will continue to change as we work to add more opportunities in the future. As part of our Strategic Plan, we will strive to connect 100% of our Freshman Class to a club, sport, or activity.https://trst.in/R73S0v
