Every year since 2018 the Hononegah community recognizes the contributions of diverse people of the greater community of the United States. Every week the life and accomplishments of one such ADMIRABLE AMERICAN will be shared.
The admirable American for this week is the first female American Indian Doctor. In 1889, Dr. Susan LaFlesche graduated medical school as valedictorian. She married in 1894 becoming Dr. Picotte, but continued her private medical practice. She sought temperance, Adopted a modern Indian religion, and opened a hospital on Omaha lands in 1913.

Come to Cinematics this Friday, September 4th at 3:30. We will talk about what we do, plan for the year, and watch an all-time favorite film, Dead Poets Society. If you've never seen it, you should. Come and see what Cinematics is all about. Food and friends will be there.
The first meeting for the Bass Fishing Club will be this Friday in room 1436 at 8:10. We will talk about this year's events and when we will start open fishing. Hope to see you there!
