Tomorrow is the last late-start day of the year at Hononegah Community High School. The building will be open to first-hour students only at 8:40 AM and will be open to all students at 9:20 AM. First hour begins at 9:00, and the second hour begins at 9:45. There is no before-school tutoring on late-start days. Early Bird bus routes will pick students up exactly 1 hour and 10 minutes later than usual. Regular bus routes will pick students up exactly 55 minutes later than usual.
Late Start Bell Schedule:
Hononegah Special Olympics participated in Region A Spring Games this past weekend, competing in a variety of track and field events.
Haylie Howe, Mason Brock, Aaliyah Catalani, Skylar Hunt, Samuel Morris, Ayden Petersen, and Landon Wirtjes finished in 1st place for their events qualifying them to State to participate in the Summer Games in Bloomington June 12-14.
Congratulations to all athletes, unified partners, and coaches for their hard work and dedication this season. Good luck at state!
Looking for something fun to do this summer? Join us in the library for our summer book club! We will be reading three great books together plus one choice book. All freshmen, sophomores and juniors are welcome to participate. We will have a lot of fun activities, including author talks, a movie in the PAC, snacks, discussion, a trip to DairyHaus, and more! See Mrs. Blum to sign up and grab your goody bag and books!
Also, want to have some good reading material for the beach, the lake, or wherever you go this summer? You may check out up to five books from the library to enjoy. They will be due back on the first day of school.
Come to the library all week for our book sale. We have a variety of books that have been pulled from the collection. Books are only ten cents each!

Hello Gamers! We will be meeting today, 5-5-26, at 3:20 in the AP room. Please make sure to have a ride by 5 pm. As always, new members are welcome to join.
Chess Club wrapped up another exciting year of chess! Congratulations to the following individuals:
Jayme Brooks for winning the May Tournament winning four out of four games! Asher Boelk and Zach Spates won three out of four to place second.
Zach Spates for winning the school year league by earning 22.5 points. Asher Boelk came in second with 22 points and Ian Schmidt came in third with 17 points.
Asher Boelk for winning the second semester league by earning 15 points. Zach Spates came in second with 11 points and Jayme Brooks came in third with 9 points.
Chess Club will continue to meet on Friday mornings until the end of the school year in the library from 8-8:45. See you then!
