The Hononegah High School Athletic Department would like to invite you to Jocelyn Rumage’s college signing to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for Swimming. We hope you will join us for this great achievement by Jocelyn on Tuesday March 10th at 4:00pm in Student Commons.

Students and staff, are you ready for a funny and emotional musical take on a classic story? Come to the Spring production of Freaky Friday, based on the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films. Performances will be on Friday, March 13 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, March 14th at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, March 15th at 2:00 pm. Adult tickets are $10.00 each and student tickets are $8.00 each. Tickets can be purchased on the Hononegah Ticketor Website or with cash during lunch on Wednesday, March 11th or Thursday, March 12th. Tickets can also be purchased via cash or check after school Tuesday (3/10) through Friday (3/13) or in-person at the door!

Did you know? Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. It's essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. If you're seventeen or older, consider donating blood on March 13th! Sixteen year olds can also donate with parental consent. To donate, fill out the form sent by Mr. Lee or sign up during lunch hours on Wednesday, March 11. Stop by room 2300 if you're sixteen and need a parental consent form.

Seniors:  Want a class shirt to remember Hononegah?  Order one with the same form used for the senior trip.  You can purchase the shirt, the trip, or the shirt/trip combo.  Order forms are due March 18 in the Principal's office.

You are invited to participate in this year's Battle of the Books!  Five amazing books have been chosen for you to read with your friends.  The Battle of the Books will take place in April in the library, and all students who participate will win at least one prize!  Make a team of 2 to 5 students and come to the library to sign up and get copies of the books!  See Mrs. Blum in the library to sign up or to ask any questions, and scan the QR code on posters around the building for more information.

Seniors: Jostens will be handing out caps and gowns on March 17th in the PAC lobby during lunch.

Attention young voters! The Young Progressives are hosting a Democrat Primary Preview of your ballot, breaking down all there is to know about the Democratic candidates for US Senate, US House, IL Comptroller, and the county propositions. The primaries decide who gets to run in the General Election, November 3rd, 2026. If you will be 18 by the General Election, you can vote in the Primary! Join us in Room 2425 at either 7:35 or 8:00 AM on March 10th to learn more about who to vote for. And, if you can't vote, you can still learn and help inform others on their choices.
