Attention seniors interested in pursuing a career in Law Enforcement, Fire Services, Emergency Medical Care or Nursing.  The deadline for the The Jaimie Cox Memorial Scholarship is Friday, April 10th. Officer Jaimie Cox, a Hononegah Community High School graduate, lost his life on November 5, 2017, while serving and protecting the community of Rockford, Illinois. Jaimie also proudly served in the United States National Guard. Jaimie was a kind, hardworking individual who selflessly dedicated his life to serving others. The objective of this scholarship is to honor Jaimie’s memory by awarding an individual with a similar work ethic; one who is committed to the service of others as Jaimie was. Applications are available in SSS and SRO Office.

Baseball tryouts begin Monday, March 2 at the following times:

Freshman 8:00 am - 10:00 am, meet in the main gym

Sophomores 10:00 - noon, meet in the main gym

Varsity 10:00 - noon, meet in the fieldhouse

All players should enter and exit the building through door 39 off the main parking lot.  Players must sign up on the Hononegah snap website and have a current physical on file at the school to participate in tryouts.  Any questions see Coach Broderick in the PE office.

Your ACT tip of the week is all about endurance. On the English, reading, and science sections of the ACT easier questions are spread throughout the test. In order to answer these easier questions effectively, you must stay focused throughout the testing time so you're ready for them. Endurance and focus are key components of scoring well on the ACT.
