Seniors! The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois Winter Scholarship Cycle is officially open! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Hononegah!  The book fair is a great opportunity to do some holiday shopping or to treat yourself to a new book!  The book fair will be in the library from 8 am to 4 pm from December 8th through December 12, and all staff and students are welcome to come check it out.  See you there!


Did you read the adorable figure skating romance book, Every Reason We Shouldn't?  Don't forget to join us in the library after school TODAY for a book talk with the author, Sara Fujimura!  See Mrs. Blum in the library with any questions.

Juniors and seniors applying for NHS, today is the day to turn in your application materials. They're due to the principal's office by 3:30 pm. Good luck!


Interested in building a stronger foundation in your faith? Grace on Campus is continuing to meet every Tuesday morning at 8:05 in room 2000. Join us as we dive into scripture, and make sure to bring your friends!


Today at 3:30 in room 1434, Cinematics is celebrating the holidays. We are watching a classic Christmas childhood scare with the film Gremlins. Bring your friends. Food will be there.


The Young Progressives will meet on Tuesday, December 9, in Room 2425 at 7:35 am with Trivia, candy canes, and a Grand Prize of Kamala Harris' 107 Days Book. See you there!

Classes begin at 8:50 a.m. each exam day.


● School is dismissed at 2:02 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. The buses will run at

    3:15 p.m. School is dismissed at 12:16 p.m. on Friday, except for students with

    make-up tests and rescheduled tests. Buses will leave at 12:30 p.m. on Friday,

    December 19, 2025.


● The cafeteria will be open for breakfast and lunch from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on

   Wednesday & Thursday, and from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.on Friday.


● Students are expected to be in their assigned areas at all times if they are in the     

   building.


● Students should not return to the building until passing periods. If they do return  

    early, they are to immediately report to the cafeteria and not be in the hallways.


● NO STUDENT is allowed to take the test without turning in his/her assigned textbook

   or filling out a “Lost Textbook Form”. (If the class is a semester class).


● ALL STUDENTS MUST ATTEND ALL ASSIGNED TEST PERIODS. There will

   be an assessment given during the assigned period.


● Students may not reschedule final exams without authorization from the

   Discipline/Attendance Office.





Please return loaner Chromebooks to the library at the end of each school day and before Winter Break.
