We understand there is uncertainty, fear and anxiety with what is happening in the world with COVID-19. This is a challenging time for everyone and we have confidence that our HCHS community will be there helping one another, as well as assistance with supports and resources our community agencies have provided.
Our children observe how we react to a crisis or stressful event and they look to us for guidance. A few tips we can provide are to check in with your kids, validate their concerns, address facts and fears, and listen with empathy to their worries. We have provided some tips, websites, and videos to help you and your kids manage during this stressful time.
We hope these wellness resources and time of reflection will provide you and your child with ideas for physical, mental and emotional self care.
