SCHOOL CHOICE/SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES
As a result of the No Child Left Behind Act and because Hononegah Community High School has not made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for at least two years, the families of 2,108 students were sent letters in 2012 regarding this status. Because we are a single school district and because there are no intergovernmental agreements with other districts in the area, none of the 2,108 students were able to transfer to another school as a result of the AYP status. Additionally, students whose families meet income guidelines under the law may receive free tutoring. During the 2013-2013 school year, 396 students were eligible for free tutoring and 10 have applied to receive tutoring.
