Hononegah Community High School District #207 Recognizes our Tribal Bistro!

Hononegah High School's Culinary Arts and Hospitality class, called the Tribal Bistro, has had a very busy catering and meal planning semester.

The Tribal Bistro has catered the monthly school board meals. In January they chose a National Soup theme, February was Breakfast at Tiffany’s, March was a basketball March Madness theme, and April kicked off the carnival/fair season with Corn Dogs, Pizza Poppers, Mini Cheeseburgers, flavored popcorns, watermelon and pickles on a stick, Cherry Pie, Carmel Apples, Deep Fired Oreos, and Lemonade Shake-ups. Other catering events for the semester included; a cupcake competition for the staff, Easter cake pops, Hononegah Career Fair treats and Italian themed meal for the business partners, treats for teacher appreciation week, and a dessert table for VetsRoll veterans. The class competed in the McDonald’s Future Top Chef Competition with Cole Hepner and Lizzy Goumas leading the way. The Tribal Bistro participates in Iron Chef Competitions, bakes with special needs children and visited Blackhawk Technical College-Culinary Arts program, Whole Foods, and UW-Madison Food Science program.

The Tribal Bistro is led by Family and Consumer Science educator, Ms. Jane Lang and team members include Hononegah seniors: Matt Banes, Taylor Cooper, Shanon Falanga, Lizzy Goumas, Cole Hepner, Savannah Jennings, Divine Presley and Mercedez Williams.
