Tentative Course Calendar
                                                Sophomore English: 2005-2006

Due dates for tests, quizzes, reading assignments, essays and oral presentations will rarely be announced in class.  This calendar will keep students aware of all assignment due dates.  The dates on this calendar have been carefully thought out in order to help students budget their time and balance the demands of this course with the demands of other courses, extra-curricular activities, work, and personal commitments.  Because this calendar has been carefully planned, it is unlikely to change.  The rare changes that are necessary will be announced in class.  All students--even those absent on the day of an announcement--are responsible for being aware of changes in the course calendar.  It is therefore advised that students exchange e-mail addresses or telphone numbers in the event that they are absent from class.   As always, when special emergencies arise, there will be some flexibility in due dates provided students communicate their needs to the teacher in a timely and reasonable manner.
